Medical Internship in Nepal
I would describe my medical internship with Volunteer World Nepal as one of the most fascinating, varied, daring, and life-changing experiences. I flew into Kathmandu, not knowing what to anticipate. Still, the aroma of Asia welcomed me, and I was excited to get started. In addition to visiting temples and Volunteer World Nepal initiatives in Kathmandu, I picked up a few phrases in Nepali. I was able to meet new people, get settled in, and find out about possible volunteer opportunities thanks to this.
When my internship in Kathmandu started, I was made to feel extremely welcome by the medical professionals, who used my daily observation in the outpatient department to teach me about illnesses, their diagnoses, and treatments. It occurred to me that something was lacking. I asked Volunteer World Nepal whether it would be feasible to combine my internship with school volunteer work because I want to work with children in the future. This posed no issue, and the following week, with the assistance of Volunteer World Nepal personnel, I conducted a medical health camp and provided CPR instruction.
Combining my work at the school with the medical internship was enjoyable for me. Only an adaptable organisation can make this happen, and Volunteer World Nepal was just that. They value your opinions and allow you to select a project that aligns with your interests. With Volunteer World Nepal, you will have the experience of a lifetime in Nepal if you are imaginative, gregarious, and impulsive!
