It had begun, one of the greatest events of my life. I will never forget how apprehensive we were when we first arrived at our new host family, but we felt right at home when they welcomed us with such warmth and love. We had the greatest meals, the most tender support, and a ton of laughing throughout those orientation days. Although we were not acquainted, we left as a family. In addition to placing us with this lovely family, Volunteer World Nepal organized many outings for us, the first of which was a two-minute bike ride to a restaurant.
Imagine an adorable setting, lively music, a few beverages, and amiable coworkers what more could one ask for? Apart from that, we’ve also visited the Monkey Temple and learned a little bit of Nepali while in Thamel, Bhaktapur, and Boudhanath. The locals like it, and it has sparked many fascinating conversations despite the fact that I can only recall five phrases. Following these fantastic initial days, the actual voyage could begin. Our first stop was Chitwan, which was reached by a tiny, dusty, rough road that was crowded with people, maintenance personnel, vehicles, buses, bikes, and cows.
