Teaching in Buddhist Monastery
The whole world has been experiencing Covid 19 pandemics since 2019. We, the entire population of the earth are under constant threat of the same as new variants of Covid 19 have been emerging one after another every now and then. Delta, the second variant caused a havoc some 10 months ago. But now the Covid situation in here looks to be under control.
No matter what is happening in the world, people have been carrying what they intended. Covid has not been able to stop them as they are firmly determined and committed.
Such a commitment has been demonstrated by Miss Rodia Arakleitou from Cyprus who had a strong desire to visit Nepal and help in some ways despite the prevalence of corona.
After doing her orientation course with Volunteer World Nepal she is now teaching young monks of monastery located in Pokhara 200 kms. west of Kathmandu. She is teaching English, Mathematics and ICT. Furthermore, she is helping the monks with how to play different games and sports. She will be working in the monastery for two weeks.
